At the VCMF Conference the building’s entrance hall, the so called "LC Forum", hosts the registration desk, the welcome reception and the poster session.
The Ceremonial Hall (German: Festsaal) provides the location for the plenary talks on Monday and Tuesday and for the panel discussion on Monday.
Springer will present books covering topics in quantitative finance, actuarial mathematics, probability theory, and more from Monday morning until Tuesday lunchtime in the LC Forum. Here you can find the titles on display.
D5 Department Building
Building D5 hosts various lecture halls where contributed talks of the VCMF Conference (Mon-Wed) as well as the VCMF Educational Workshop (Thu-Fri) will take place.
D1/TC - Teaching Center
In Building D1/TC lunch will take place.

Directions to conference venue at WU Vienna
By plane
Most international carriers fly to Vienna International Airport VIE which is about 20 km away from the city centre.

There are several options from the airport to the conference venue / WU Vienna:
- Local or suburban railway S7 ("Schnellbahn S7 "):
Departure from the airport approximately every 30 minutes, travel time 25 minutes to station "Praterstern" (about 10 stops), change to the underground (U-Bahn) U2 and continue in direction "Aspernstrasse" for one stop, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for two stops, get off at "Krieau".
The single ticket for the suburban railway from the airport and one direction within Vienna costs € 4,20. The ticket vending machine is located on the platform at the airport. Press "National ticket with selection of destination" (Fahrkarte Inland mit Zielwahl), then choose destination "Praterstern" and press "OK buy ticket". - City Airport Train (CAT) via "Wien Mitte":
The CAT transports you non-stop within 16 minutes to "Wien Mitte/Landstraße" every 30 minutes (return ticket € 21,- (19,-), single ticket € 12,- (11,-) - the cheaper prices in brackets are only valid if you book the ticket(s) online),
From "Landstraße/Wien Mitte" continue your journey on the underground. Take U4 towards "Heiligenstadt" for 2 stops, change at "Schottenring" for U2 and continue in direction "Aspernstrasse" for 3 stops, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for 4 stops, get off at "Krieau" - a ticket for one direction costs € 2,40. - Train/Railjet via "Wien Hauptbahnhof" & U1:
Departure from the airport every 30 minutes, travel time 15 minutes directly to station "Wien Hauptbahnhof" (= main train station of Vienna), change to the underground/subway (U-Bahn) U1 and continue in direction "Leopoldau" for 6 stations, change at "Praterstern" to U2 in direction "Aspernstrasse" for one stop, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for two stops, get off at "Krieau".
The single ticket for the train from the airport and one direction within Vienna costs € 4,20. The ticket vending machine is located on the platform at the airport. Coaches depart every 30 minutes to "Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz" (single ticket € 8,- return ticket € 13,-). Travel time approximately 50 minutes.
After the Vienna Airport Lines (Postbus) you have to change to public transport in Vienna (Vienna Lines / Wiener Linien) to come to TU Wien - a ticket for one direction costs € 2,40. From "Schwedenplatz" take the underground U1 towards "Leopoldau" for 2 stops, change at "Praterstern" to U2 in direction "Aspernstrasse" for one stop, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for two stops, get off at "Krieau". - Taxi/cab:
The taxi stand at the Vienna Airport is in front of the Arrival/Departure Hall. Taxis can be very expensive (about 45 Euros), but if you ask at a taxi stand in the Arrival Hall you can get a taxi for about 30-36 Euros. We do not recommend to order taxis at the arrival in advance as you might have to pay for the waiting time in case of a delay of the flight. In case you want to take a taxi from the hotel to the airport we suggest to order a taxi in advance (we suggest to make it 12 hours or more in advance), see e.g.: coolcab.at or flughafen-taxi-wien.at and to be in time :-).
By train
You can get information about departure times by phoning +43 05-1717 or in the internet at http://www.oebb.at/.
Most overland buses stop in coach stations which are near railway stations.
- Train station "Wien Hauptbahnhof":
The train station is connected to underground station "Südtiroler Platz" on the U1. To continue your journey take the underground U1 towards "Leopoldau" for 6 stops, change at "Praterstern" to U2 in direction "Aspernstrasse" for one stop, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for two stops, get off at "Krieau". - Train station "Wien Westbahnhof":
Take U3 in direction "Simmering" for 3 stations to "Volkstheater" and change there to U2 towards "Aspernstrasse" to "Messe-Prater" (6 stops) or "Krieau" (7 stops). - Train station "Wien Meidling":
Take U6 in direction "Floridsdorf" for 2 stops and change at "Längenfeldgase". From there take U4 towards "Heiligenstadt" until "Schottenring" (8 stops), then take U2 and towards "Aspernstrasse" for one stop, get off at "Messe-Prater", or for two stops, get off at "Krieau".
