The new system of actuarial education in the United States

Effective January 1, 2000, the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society have created a new system of actuarial education and examination in the United States. This system is also implemented for the Canadian actuaries, in cooperation with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. In this presentation we will give the overview of the new education system, and how it changed the situation when compared to the historical ways of educating actuaries in North America.
