Dear Colleagues,
I would like to point out Nicolas Bouleau's talk on Monday evening at
18.00. The talk is part of a series of lectures on mathematical concepts
from a philosophical point of view.
Following the June 2007 talk of Alain Desrossieres on the history of
statistics, Nicolas Bouleau, the eminent French mathematician and
intellectual, will speak on the conflict between chance and sense.
Please do have a look at the interesting material-to-read linked after the
abstract of his talk.
Mo, 21.01.2008, 18:00, Freihaus Hörsaal FH2
