The Chair of Managerial Accounting (Prof. Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer) at the University of Vienna invites applicants for the position of a

University Assistant (prae doc)

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, meant to begin at the latest with the upcoming semester (beginning March 2021), is limited to four years and paid in accordance with the current salary guidelines of the University of Vienna. The position comprises participation in research, conducting of independent research and teaching assistance.

The chair's research is theoretically oriented and focuses on contract theory, incentive systems and corporate governance. According to the Chair's research emphasis interest in quantitative scientific work in the field of managerial accounting isexpected.

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week (https://personalwesen.univie.ac.at/kollektivvertrag/, §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe - praedoc) On top of this relevant chargeable work experience determines the assessment to a particular salary grade.

Profile:

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Management or a comparable field (statistics, econometrics).
• A sound understanding of mathematical methods of economic modeling.
• Fluency in spoken and written German and English.
