Assistant Professor, non-tenure track

Fulltime, 40 hours/week

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to research in one of the following areas: applied stochastics, fìnancial mathematics and quantitative risk management, applied statistics and econometrics, scientific computing, optimization
  • Contributing to organizational and administrative tasks
  • Providing teaching assistance, and holding courses and examinations (Teaching load of four hours/week each semester)

Your profile

  • Diploma or MSc and a PhD in (applied) mathematics or alternatively, statistics or quantitative finance or quantitative economics with a strong mathematical background
  • Scientific excellence, documented by publications in internationally recognized journals
  • German language skills are not a prerequisite. Good programming skills and international experience can be an advantage

The gross monthly salary is € 3,803.90.

This substitute employee position will be limited to a period of one year, starting on September 01, 2019 (commencement date subject to change).
