As part of the Faculty, the Institute of Mathematics represents the entire discipline of mathematics in research and teaching, without making an arbitrary separation into pure and applied fields. Job Description:The advertised post doc position is associated with the chair for mathematical finance of Prof. Mathias Beiglböck (email: mathias.beiglboeck@univie.ac.at). We are looking for a highly qualified researcher with special interests in stochastics and/or optimisation. The successful candidate is able to actively contribute to the research profile of the Faculty and to teach courses in mathematical finance (4 hours per semester}. He/She will carry out personal tutoring and assists in the continuous assessment and development of the teaching programme. Habilitation or the willingness to work towards it is expected. Profile:A Doctoral degree I PhD or similar qualification is required for all candidates as well as experience in teaching and research.
