Internship in Group Credit Portfolio Steering – Corporate (f/m)

The Group Credit Portfolio Steering – Corporate Department is looking for a candidate in its Early Warning System (EWS) Monitoring Team. The EWS monitoring team is responsible for developing, operating and improving the Early Warning Framework and respective monitoring system for non-retail clients in Erste Group and its subsidiaries. EWS ensures the timely recognition of potential negative developments on the level of a single corporate client/client group and decide if mitigating action related to any specific client/client group dynamics is required. For the support of these activities, we are looking for a motivated and suitable candidate.

You:

  • are currently enrolled at a University or University of Applied Sciences, preferably studying mathematics or statistics
  • have basic knowledge and understanding of risk management and finance concepts
  • prepare various EWS Monitoring reports and draw conclusions out of them
  • test the EWS Monitoring System and propose further improvements
  • support the preparation of EWS Watch List Commitee and the closure of respective actions
  • assist in project related activities (e.g. meeting organization, minutes preparation, etc.)
  • support the team in different other tasks and activities
  • have a good perception and understanding of quantitative information and structures
  • work result-oriented and act as a responsible team player with a hands-on-approach
  • have good communicational skills
  • are proficient in standard MS Office applications and have advanced MS Excel and Power Point skills
  • have a very good command of English and German language (written and oral)

Internship in Banking Book Risk Management Austria (f/m)

The department "Banking Book Risk Management" is responsible for the group wide governance of market and liquidity risk in the bank. This includes the identification, measurement and controlling of market and liquidity risk as well as the setting, controlling and monitoring of group wide risk limits. Furthermore, it is responsible for group wide liquidity and market risk reporting and related projects. In this function the department assures regulatory compliance as well as effective internal risk reporting to senior management and operative units.

You:

  • are currently enrolled at a university in a Master program with a major in banking/finance, IT or in a closely related area
  • have strong analytical skills in the area of banking/finance or business intelligence
  • act as a contact person for market risk and liquidity risk related projects and systems
  • ensure coordination, analysis and disclosure of internal and external Market & Liquidity Risk Reports including coordination of data extraction, data validation, calculation and presentation
  • support the assessment of data quality, data integrity and reliability
  • contribute to project related activities for specification and improvement of standard reporting and analysis tools
  • have excellent IT skills with experience in programming, SQL databases and VBA programming
  • like to work in an international team and enjoy challenges
  • are a reliable, flexible and stress resistant person
  • have gained in depth experience in MS Office applications
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • speak English fluently - German language skills constitute a further benefit
