Student (f/m) for Group Business Information Management

On the way to be a winner in the European Banking Championship Erste Group has set itself the goal of achieving excellence in data management. As a concrete step forward Holding Board has decided recently on establishment of Group Business Information.

The unit is responsible for groupwide business information production governance and performance, the transformation of Group Data Pool to common Finance and Risk data pool, definition of process performance indicators and setting up reporting and monitoring. Group Business Information Management is also a single point of contact for business departments and for IT.

You:

  • are monitoring the monthly Group data delivery process for risk and controlling in respect of data quality and consistency
  • cooperate with the senior data managers within the team in various projects involving the data management area for requirements and testing purposes
  • are interested in market risk management and regulatory topics
  • show interest in developing and maintaining reporting solutions in the financial industry
  • are currently enrolled at a university
  • have a solid knowledge in the area of relational databases including SQL or a strong IT background
  • have a good understanding of object oriented programming (e.g. VBA), C# or Python would be a benefit
  • possess experience with basic reporting tools like OLAP technology, multidimensional modelling would be a benefit
  • have very strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • are a fast and keen learner and appreciate a multi-cultural environment
  • are used to communicate fluently in English, second language in German or a relevant CEE language is appreciated
