The Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, Austria, invites applications for a position at the

assistant professor

level.

Minimum qualifications are a PhD in finance or a related field, expertise in asset pricing and/or corporate finance, and an established research agenda aimed at top-tier finance and/or economics journals.

The Institute for Advanced Studies is one of the leading European research institutions in the fields of economics and finance. It runs two graduate programs, a two-years program in Economics and a PhD Program in Finance. The latter program is jointly organized with the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. As an institution focusing on academic research and PhD education, faculty members of the Institute of Advanced Studies enjoy a very light teaching load of approximately one PhD course per year.

The contract is initially for two years, but may subsequently be extended. Salary depends on seniority and is negotiable. We anticipate position to begin as soon as possible.
