Economist / Mathematician (f/m)

As subsidiary of one of the largest national oil companies in the world, the Vienna office has been established to conduct market research and to carry out market studies in the oil business. Furthermore, it will become the group wide training centre for its high calibre employees to develop experts for the energy and petroleum market.

Based on your proficiency in statistics and analytical skills, you will assist the Manager of Petroleum Markets in conducting research, training courses and seminars.

Your tasks

• Carrying out research in the field of energy economics and pricing
• Data collection and compilation of databases
• Statistical forecasting and analysis
• Identifying and delivering projects to improve the performance of the forecasting operation

Your profile

• University degree in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics
• Knowledge in energy markets, Monte Carlo analysis, energy allocation and demand attribution process of advantage but not a must
• Initiative, personality, high analytical skills
• Readiness to work in an international environment
• Excellent knowledge of English and German
• Spanish would be a plus
