OVERVIEW OF DIVISION & DEPARTMENT

Global Debt Markets encompasses Fixed Income, Financial Products, Debt Finance and Municipal Markets. The Structured Products Department, which is part of the Financial Products Group, employs over 130 professionals in the major financial centres of London, Toronto, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo and Sydney. From a product perspective, the Structured Products team offers exotic products linked to commodities, credit, equities, and interest rates.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To provide initially support for the German / Austrian Structured Product Sales team and to provide back up and support for the rest of the Structured Products marketing team. After an introduction phase, the incumbent will cover selected German/Austrian accounts. This role includes frequent and significant interaction with the structuring team, correlation traders, exotic interest rates traders and the Structured Product marketers. The tenor for this position is limited to 3 months (June – August) but the candidate has the opportunity –if successful- to join the graduate training programme after graduation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with the structured product sales team on various day-to-day activities
• To take responsibility for own list of German speaking structured Products clients over time
• Undertaking in-depth customer analysis
• Creating and updating high level business presentations
• Liaising with structured trading regarding new trade ideas
• Assisting in roadshows (i.e. CDO)

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in German and English
• Strong IT skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Sales focused individual with broad product knowledge. Quantitative skills an advantage.
