Investment Manager

Based in Austria, Erste Bank is Central Europe's foremost financial services group. We provide banking, investment, loans and insurance services, and focus on consumers and small to medium-sized companies.

In support of further growth we want to strengthen our "Group Asset & Liability Management" team. The task of the group is to manage interest rate, liquidity and fx risks of the banking book of Erste Bank and the Erste Bank group. The group is also responsible for the management of investment portfolios and internal Funds Transfer Pricing system of the bank.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Management of the investment portfolio of Erste Bank AG on the basis of the ALM analysis
• Building a broader investment portfolio based on asset allocation principles
• Analysis of investment proposals
• Coordination of group-wide investment policies
• Understanding accounting consequences of investment strategy

An ideal candidate should have:

• Investment experience in European fixed income markets as well as coverage and investment experience of non-fixed income asset classes
• Very good knowledge of financial mathematics, financial markets products and economic relationships as well as portfolio theory
• Knowledge of a bank business, bank accounting practices and/or ALM principles is an advantage
• Good analytical skills
• Very good knowledge of English and German languages
• Ability to solve problems independently; high self-motivation and structured investment style
• Sufficient IT user skills
• Teamplayer with willingness to improve continuously
