The Department of Statistics is embedded into the university’s area of key research strength “Multiple Perspectives in Optimization (MPOpt)” and it participates in the thematic doctoral programme and the FWF funded doc.funds doctoral school “Modeling – Analysis – Optimization of discrete, continuous, and stochastic systems”. Area of responsibilityThis position serves the professional and scientific education of graduates of a Master's or Diploma programme with the aim of completing a Doctoral/Ph.D. programme in the field of Mathematics/Statistics.
