Non-Life Actuary (f/m/d)

UNIQA Group, one of the best branded Insurance Groups operating in CEE, is searching for motivated people supporting the Actuarial Non-Life team in the UNIQA Group Actuarial Department.

The primary objective of the open position is the evaluation and monitoring of insurance portfolios as well as the implementation of Group wide standards with a special focus on Solvency 2 topics.

To support our young and dynamic team in various tasks, we are looking for an ambitious and service-oriented Non-Life Actuary (f/m/d) with a sound knowledge in insurance mathematics/statistics.

You can expect a solid on-the-job training within the Group, with focus on different actuarial practice areas within the biggest entity of the UNIQA Group, namely UNIQA Austria. Also, we are offering personal development within the next few years within UNIQA Group.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Calculation and validation of technical provisions in local GAAP & Solvency 2
• Building up claims data base for parameterization of internal model
• Further development / coding of existing tools & DWH (Excel, VBA, SAS, R)
• Support in claim modelling (attritional claims, large claims, CAT claims)
• Coordination and participation of QRT calculation
• Participation in planning process and monitoring of real vs. expected numbers
• Support in ad-hoc Solvency II topics, e.g. requests from regulators / auditors
• Know-How transfer & training within the Group

Your qualification:

• Natural science education (mathematics / statistics / IT / physics / etc.), preferably actuarial science
• 2-3 years of working experience preferably in claims reserving / Solvency 2
• Knowledge of basic modeling techniques in Non-Life preferred
• Knowledge of accounting regimes (Local GAAP, IFRS, Solvency II) would help
• Excellent know-how of MS Office and at least one script language (VBA, R or Python)
• Good knowledge of data handling (SAS or SQL)
• Project Management skills of advantage
• Fluent in English, German of advantage
