We, UNIQA Group, are seeking a

Life Actuary / Senior Actuarial Assistant (f/m)

to join our Life Actuarial team within Group Actuarial & Risk Management, UNIQA Insurance Group AG. The position is located at our Group head office in Vienna, Austria.

The focus of this position are actuarial balance sheet evaluations and development of projection models. The evaluated portfolio is the life insurance of UNIQA Austria, which is the biggest portfolio of UNIQA Group. The job offers a broad variety of actuarial disciplines as an ideal basis for further career development. Our way of working is characterized by high quality, solution orientation, flexibility and taking responsibility.

Your main responsibilities

  • End to End responsibility for modelling and reporting of defined sub portfolios (extent of responsibility depending on
  • experience, rotation principle supports fast development and step by step learning by having the possibility to
  • evaluate all kinds of life product types, which are common on the Austrian market)
  • Regular balance sheet evaluations (Solvency II, IFRS,..)
  • Diverse individual ad-hoc topics from regulatory requirements
  • Analysis of portfolio movements and result reconciliations
  • Participation in actuarial projects within UNIQA Group
  • Contribution to Actuarial Function reporting under Solvency II
  • Central contact person for handed over area of expertise within and outside UNIQA Group

Your qualification

  • Knowledge of Life actuarial products, P&L and Solvency II specific understanding
  • Extensive experience in using and modelling within deterministic Prophet models, Prophet ALS as nice to have
  • Proficient knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel, VBA programming as nice to have
  • Own initiative and responsible working especially related to assigned portfolios
  • High analytical skills and solution oriented working
  • High motivation to learn, communication strength and team player mentality
  • Active and result oriented working style and structured way of working
  • Good communication style with internal and external contacts
  • Good command of German and English

Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU (Austria). Annual minimum wage according to collective agreement: EUR 41.523 - gross. We are prepared to exceed depending on qualification and experience.
