A good friend of mine used to work on mountain huts, and to do wood work.
Once I joined him, and when we were packing a few things to bring with us, I asked him whether I should include first aid emergency stuff.
Much to my surprise he said: "No, we won't need any."

At first, I thought he was mistaken. But, I soon began to understand his point of view. If you do something in a way so that you might need emergency care, chances are that you are doing it wrong. Whatever you do, do it in a way that makes emergency packs unnecessary.

My friend was one of the most careful persons I ever came to know. He died in an unexplained car accident.
