Group Head of Non-Life Actuarial (f/m/d)

Your main responsibilities

This role takes responsibility in fulfilling the non-life actuarial requirements within UNIQA Group regarding IFRS, Solvency II, and regarding the use of actuarial models for the purpose of internal steering. The responsibility covers the evaluation for the Austrian portfolio and the guidance via Standards and Validations for the international business units.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and evaluation of insurance technical provisions for non-life insurance
  • Implementation and enhancement of actuarial valuation models across various accounting regimes
  • (local GAAP, IFRS, Solvency II)
  • Contribute to the Group's risk management framework and ALM framework
  • Contribute to the implementation of IFRS 17
  • Maintenance of the Group's non-life actuarial policies and standards
  • Supporting the role of the Actuarial function at UNIQA
  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the respective team (7 people) and the actuarial community at UNIQA
  • Ensuring compliance with all related policy guidance and regulatory requirements
  • Dealing with requests of auditors and supervisory authorities

Your qualification

  • University degree (financial mathematics, actuarial mathematics) / MBA
  • Actuarial certificate and membership in an actuarial association
  • Several years of experience in evaluation of non-life insurance
  • Strong Solvency II and IFRS (17) know-how
  • Cohesive ability in interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written

Annual minimum wage according to collective agreement: EUR 70.000,- - gross. We are prepared to exceed depending on qualification and experience.
